PVC

Sub-heading

Full Name

Poly Vinyl Chloride

Basic Properties

Pliant, elastic, but in combination with various additives can be either flexible or rigid, both transparent & opaque. Gives off poisonous gases at high temperatures.

Common Uses

A very popular type of plastic used in a wide range of products. Most commonly known for its use in plumbing hardware, pipes and fittings.

PVC has excellent electrical insulating properties, high chemical resistance, is thermo formable with a moderate impact resistance and good moisture resistance.

This thermoplastic is the most common of all plastics used at CV Plastics for products such as grease interceptor traps, chemical storage tanks, process tanks, fume hoods, ducting, LV covers (electrical insulators), and machinery covers.

Rigid PVC is also available in clear and is suitable for products such as volumeters, tank site glasses or any container that needs to be see through.

Clear PVC is weldable to any opaque PVC which broadens its uses. PVC is very easy to work with, bends quite well with good dimensional stability. Welds, cuts and machines very well.
